Do you want to be rich?

I am about to reveal to you the key to all prosperity!  Are you ready?

First let’s lay the foundation.

I want to ask you: What do you consider true wealth?
Is it money, houses, cars, boats?
Is it health, love, fame or power?

Well, what I am about to reveal to you will give you all these things but is, in fact, NONE of these things.

Instead it is much more exalted than any earthly thing but if you have it, it will yield much better returns than gold!

And even better, because this key is intangible, you can take it with you FOREVER!

So, by now, you are probably anxious to know what this exalted thing is that will give you so much.

Here it is: WISDOM.

Yes, WISDOM!

Listen to what the Bible says about wisdom:

Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding,
for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold.

She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.
Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.

Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.
She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed.
(Proverbs 3:13-18)

My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion.

They will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck.
Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble.
When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,
for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.
(Proverbs 3:21-26)

My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart,
for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.
(Proverbs 3:1-2)

Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many.
I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths.
When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble.

Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life.
Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evildoers.
Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way.
(Proverbs 4:10-15)

Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
(Psalm 34:12-14)

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding – indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.

For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
He holds success in store for the upright, He is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,

for He guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.

Then you will understand what is right and just and fair—every good path.
For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.
(Proverbs 2:1-11)

My son, keep your father’s commands and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.
Bind them upon on your heart forever; fasten them around your neck.

When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you.

For these commands are a lamp, this teaching is a light, and corrections of discipline are the way to life.
(Proverbs 6:20-23)

Put away perversity from your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.
Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm.
Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
(Proverbs 4:24-27)

“Now then, my sons, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways.
Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not ignore it.

Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.
For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord.
But whoever fails to find me harms himself; all who hate me love death.”
(Proverbs 8:32-36)

With so many promises, who would not give everything to have wisdom?
So if you want to be rich, be rich in WISDOM!

Peace!  Shalom!
