As you read the following passages from the Bible, keep in mind that even though God is Good, Merciful and Compassionate, He is also Perfect, Righteous, and Just.

God hates sin and although He is patient and waits for people to repent, He determines the time when mercy ends and judgment begins.  He is the Lord of lords and King of kings and has the entire Universe and all the Heavenly Powers in His Almighty hand!  It would do well for us to fear Him!  Amen.

——

Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere Him! (Psalm 33:8)

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the Name of God’s one and only Son.
This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done through God. (John 3:18-21)

You are right in saying I am a King. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to Me. (John 18:37)

“I am a great king,” says the Lord Almighty, “and My Name is to be feared among the nations”. (Malachi 1:14)

He who does not honor the Son, does not honor the Father Who sent Him. (John 5:23)

I tell you the truth, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned. (John 5:24)

There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not accept My words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day. For I did not speak on My own, but the Father Who sent Me commanded Me to say all that I have spoken. I know that His command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told Me to say. (John 12-48-50)

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. Whoever hates Me hates my Father as well. If I had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. As it is, they have seen these miracles, and yet they have hated both Me and My Father. (John 15:23-25)

The prince of this world now stands condemned. (John 16:11)

“I tell you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear Him!” (Luke 12:4-5)

Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going. Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.” (John 12:35-36)

The Lord Almighty is the One you are to regard as holy. He is the One you are to fear. He is the One you are to dread. (Isaiah 8:13)

The Lord brings death and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and raises up. The Lord sends poverty and wealth; He humbles and He exalts. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; He seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; on them He has set the world. He will guard the feet of his faithful servants, but the wicked will be silenced in darkness. (1 Samuel 2:6-9)

I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and He said:
“Strike the tops of the pillars so that the thresholds shake.
Bring them down on the heads of all the people; those who are left I will kill with the sword.
Not one will get away, none will escape.
Though they dig down to the depths below, from there my hand will take them.
Though they climb up to the heavens above, from there I will bring them down.
Though they hide themselves on the top of Carmel, there I will hunt them down and seize them.
Though they hide from my eyes at the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent to bite them.
Though they are driven into exile by their enemies, there I will command the sword to slay them.
I will keep my eye on them for harm and not for good.” (Amos 9:1-4)
