Today, I want you to imagine this scene:
You have an only child that you love dearly.
You are very wealthy and you know that one day your child will be heir of all your wealth.
You have so much to give to your child.
But your child is still very young and does not understand all these things yet.
Now imagine that your child is playing outside and is walking merrily on a path.
You know that the path your child is walking on leads to a steep cliff and the danger of walking on that path is very clear to you.
But your child does not know this and continues walking along on that path, merry and laughing all the way.
You are the parent.
You love your child dearly.
Will you let your child continue walking on that path that leads to his or her death?
Of course not!
You will do everything within your power to dissuade your child from walking on that path and so snatch them from certain death.
What is the moral of the story?
The Parent is God.
You are the child.
God loves you so much that He sent His only-begotten Son to die for you on a cross in order to rescue you from eternal death.
But if you are the child that does not believe in God’s Son, you are like the child walking toward your eternal death.
God is working in your life right now to snatch you from that road to perdition.
Do you understand?
God is calling you right now to believe in His Son so that you can enjoy eternal LIFE.
