A Little Child

How wonderful is God’s love for us that He became a little Child to save us from darkness and sin!

The Almighty God, Who commands the entire universe, humbled Himself to be like one of us so that He would show us the depth and breadth of His love for us, sinful humans!

In the book of Jeremiah, the Lord Himself tells each and every one of us:

I have loved you with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3)

What an awesome and wonderful God we have!

Isaiah prophesies:
For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

In the book of Matthew, we read:
On coming to the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. (Matthew 2:11)

It is important to remember that this little Child is also the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings. He is the Savior, the One that many Jewish people were praying would come for many years.

This little Child changed the world!

How precious is the life of a little child!

It is important to ask ourselves how much we value little children, indeed how much we value life.

Why is this question important?

Because today, millions of unborn and born children are killed simply because they are unwanted.
This is a tragedy that we have the power to stop if we join our voices and rise up against this evil.

What can I do, you may think?

You can pray!
Pray every day that this evil stops, that hearts are changed and melted with love and compassion toward human life.
Then, as you are able, add action: Join a pro-life group. Witness to others about the sanctity of life.
Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and He will.

The life of every child is precious in God’s sight.
The life of every child should be precious to us also.

Remember what God says:

Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me.’ (Matthew 25:40)

God loves the little children!
We should love them and protect them too!

Shalom.
